member since September 26th, 2006 Born in a Hungarian enclave in Romania, Clara Berta came to the United States when she was eleven years old. After growing up in Chicago, she relocated to Los Angeles where she began her education in psychology and her exploration of art. Fluent in both English and Hungarian, while Clara earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Antioch University, she developed an interest in art. As an artist, she excels in abstract expressionism. Her expertise is creating unique monotype prints. Each one is an original. She has studied privately with Lynn Bernay and Ron Pokrasso at the Riverside Museum and Palm Desert Museum. Her paintings and photographs have been successfully auctioned to benefit such organizations as Women in Theatre, the Free Reformed Hungarian Church in Ontario and Pals2Pets. Originally a canvas artist, she now creates commissions for family heirlooms and monoprints. She loves to put a little part of herself in each art piece. She integrates her writing, photography, travels, collage, solar plates and chine colle into each piece.
price range: $ 369 - $ 775
